Doughnuts at the office? Plan how you’re gonna say no.
Hungry and grocery shopping? Make your list and just say no.
Late? Have a plan to say ‘No” to that and do a short workout.
And when a good opportunity comes up... Have a plan to say “Yes!”

So much is easy to do, really; when you examine it.
I put roadblocks up in my way.
“Eat the apple; take the walk.”
Don’t make it harder than it is.
Get out there.

Complain

How can I complain?
How could I complain the 54 degree gym is too cold?
It’s too crowded on weekends?
I have to drive to get there?
It costs $$ money?
I’m too tired and I don’t feel like it?

Japan. Or Egypt. Or Libya.
Those are difficult.
Mine are inconveniences. At worst.
Prayers to those people.
Gratitude can never leave my thoughts.

Eat by Design

Nobody’s forcing me. Buying me ‘bad’ foods on a daily basis.
One would think I could control what deliberately I eat.
Not so. It’s funny.
I’m going to eat lean protein, lots of vegetables, cut down on simple carbs and bad fats and have (a little) “good carbs”.
No candy for me.
No ice cream. No alcohol for awhile.
How long does that last?
Ha! I’m funny. You’d think I could control it. I’m pretty bad.

Just throw it out. Don’t buy it. Stock up on the good. Have a plan to say no.
Make a damn simple menu and follow it.
